Pyramid Rock Festival 2012 Adds More Acts As Tickets Go On Sale

Pyramid Rock Festival has already announced two rounds of acts that will be helping the Philip Island music festival soundtrack its two day Neew Year’s extravaganza, and with tickets going on sale this morning – they’ve added a few names to round out what is already an impressive lineup.

Along with international talent like agit-punk rockers Anti-Flag, the garage psychedelia of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, plus UK acts Blood Red Shoes and Friendly Fires; a bevy of Australian talent is already gracing the bill including John Butler Trio, 360, Pnau, Gossling, Karnivool, Children Collide, Xavier Rudd, Stonefield, Van She, Saskwatch and many more.

Last night, Pyramid Rock announced eight more acts that will be joining the already fit-to-bursting lineup, starting with UK act THE CRIBS. The fabulous Jarman brothers will be returning to Australia to play their first shows down under since releasing this year’s The Belly of the Brazen Bull.

Along with the British trio, even more Australian artists have been added to the bill, including post-hardcore group THE AMITY AFFLICTION, the award-winning, high energy antics of THE BROW HORN ORCHESTRA.

Also making the sojourn to Philip Island will be MAT MCHUGH & THE SEPERATISTA SOUND SYSTEM emerging from the recently disbanded The Beautiful Girls, Aussie hip hop star PEZ will also join the bill, along with post-folk-rock Sydney sextet, WINTER PEOPLE, REDCOATS fresh from supporting Karnivool on their national tour and dance darlings THE ONLY.
