Joining Lee Ranaldo Band for their East Coast shows this month will be two of the most polished and on-the-rise names in the Australian indie music scene.

The band’s performance at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory will be supported by Melbourne three-piece Pony Face.

Featuring Simon Bailey on guitar and vocals, bassist Anth Dymke and drummer Kris Emond, the band have established a name for themselves in the Melbourne music scene and beyond for their hard working ethic and sweeping, blissful soundscapes.

Pony Face’s songs build steadily from sparse beginnings to intense and layered tapestries that draw you in to their impeccable storytelling. When brought to life on the live stage, these performances leave audiences hypnotised and enthralled.

Opening Lee Ranaldo Band’s show at The Zoo in Brisbane will be indie super-group We All Want To.

Made up of some of Brisbane’s most loved music makers, We All Want To are a band that hook you in from the very first notes. Their unique brand of melodic power-pop, intertwined with elements of blues, folk and blues, sets them apart from the crowd.

Adopting a wide range of instruments including xylophones, bouzoukis, an omnichord and tambourines to create their lush and dense sound, We All Want To create performances that are engaging, entertaining and not to be missed.

Lee Ranaldo Band’s East Coast performances coincide with the band’s appearances at the Melbourne Festival and see Ranaldo taking the stage with band mates and friends, Steve Shelley and Alan Licht.

Receiving countless accolades and praise as both a member of seminal alternative rock group Sonic Youth and as a solo artist in his own right, a performance by Lee Ranaldo is one not to be missed. Be quick to snap up the limited tickets still available to these shows commencing next week.
