ARIA Award-winning Oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros will celebrate the release of his new album Chameleons of the White Shadow with a special performance at Studio 505 on Wednesday 24 April.

A captivating and now critically acclaimed album, Tawadros aged 29, has assembled a legendary posse of world-class musicians to create a rich contemporary fusion where world, classical and jazz seamlessly cross over.

Collaborating with luminous artists Béla Fleck, Richard Bona, Roy Ayers and Joey DeFrancesco, Joseph is also joined by his brother percussionist extraordinaire James Tawadros on Req and Bendir.

Entering the top end of ARIA Jazz and Blues Charts and iTunes charts upon release, Chameleons of the White Shadow has been featured as Album of the Week on ABC Classics, ABC Jazz, Eastside FM and PBS FM.

At this launch concert Joseph and James Tawadros will perform repertoire from this new release with two of Australia’s leading jazz exponents, Matt McMahon on Piano and Steve Hunter on Bass.

Joseph Tawadros and James Tawadros are also set to play at a highly coveted performance slot at TedXSydney on May 4.
