For the past 60 years The Prince Bandroom and Prince of Wales Public Bar have been driving factors in Melbourne’s live music scene. The Prince is committed to supporting and strengthening local musicians by bringing the best live music to St Kilda.

Taking the lead from the Prince Bandroom’s 3 recent sold out The Cat Empire shows and a Jamie xx show that sold out in a short few hours, this month’s Prince Public Bar lineup boasts some of the best up and coming acts.

April’s Prince Public Bar acts are largely Australian and have been getting love from both Triple J Unearthed and fans alike. The lineup includes appearances by indie troupe Red Ink, futuristic synth lover Dune and musical vintage darlings Lurch & Chief.

The Prince Public Bar lineup also sees the return of strong St Kilda favourites like urban soul sweethearts The Simon Wright Band, the chaotic Bitter Sweet Kicks, the legendary Jack Howard of Hunters and Collectors and a Thursday night residency of slow burning groove master Josh Owen.

As always, all Prince Public Bar shows are free. Check out the full lineup here:
