Canberran sex-pop foursome Fun Machine return with their highly anticipated new single ‘Naked Body.’ The raunchy new video clip was partly shot at one of their trademark shows, where punters stripped down and started painting each other (‘cos that’s just how Saturday nights roll in Canberra). To help celebrate the release of their new tune, the band are playing a number of shows around the country through August and September, including as part of the mammoth lineup for BIGSOUND Live.
The single follows on from their 2012 single releases ‘Alchemist’ and ‘Ready For The Fight’ and continues to embody the band’s pervasive penchant for glitter. ‘Naked Body’ is a prime example of the buoyant and experimental sounds that have become the trademark of Fun Machine. The track features driven poly-rhythms created by tap-dancing on a plank of wood and sampled Formula One cars.
Having previously supported artists of a high and diverse calibre such as Gotye, Architecture in Helsinki, Salt’n’Pepa and The Darkness, Fun Machine have also graced stages at Groovin’ The Moo Festival and Secret Garden Festival, to name a few. 2012 was a huge year with the band playing in New York at The Delancey during CMJ 2012 and taking out the inaugural MAMA for Best Pop Artist.
With the band developing a reputation for the most fun you can have with your pants on, Fun Machine have just been announced to play as part of BIGSOUND Live in Brisbane later this year. Don’t miss these human disco balls, on the road this August and September.
