The lineup for One Electric Day Festival 2013 has been announced, featuring a huge lineup of classic Australian bands that are set to rock Werribee Park this November.

Jimmy Barnes, The Angels (with Dave Gleeson), James Reyne, The Black Sorrows, Ross Wilson and Boom Crash Opera will all share the same stage in this massive afternoon event, which is the brainchild of Regional Touring promoter Duane McDonald.

The first-ever One Electric Day was put together by McDonald after putting on a show with Jimmy Barnes at Werribee Park three years ago, setting the wheels in motion for an event which he hopes will return to the region annually.

“Finally we are ready to rock,” he says. “The Great Lawn is a magnificent setting for the ONE ELECTRIC DAY and we look forward to presenting an annual first class event. These acts define a generation. To have them all together on the one day is every music lovers dream. It will be hit after hit all afternoon.”

Headlining the bill is a singer who needs no introduction, the lung-belting, Cold Chisel fronting Jimmy Barnes. With 16 solo albums under his belt, he has an enviable back catalogue that makes for incredible live performances with a classic songbook.

Joining Jimmy at the top of the bill are The Angels, now fronted by Dave Gleeson (of The Screaming Jets fame) who leads the band through their historically revered brand of classic Aussie rock. Also on the bill for the inaugural One Electric Day Festival 2013 is singer-songwriter James Reyne, Joe Camilleri and his band The Black Sorrows, Mondo Rock and Daddy Cool linchpin – Mr Eagle Rock himself – Ross Wilson, and last but not least, 80s/90s rock perennials Boom Crash Opera.

Together, this classic lineup will take over Werribee Park in November for a day and night of music that’s sure to live up to the grand title of One Electric Day.
