Groovin The Moo 2014 has its first sell out, with the Bendigo leg exhausting tickets just 10 days after going on sale.

Organisers Cattleyard Promotions confirmed that tickets to the regional Victoria date, which opens the second half of the music festival on Saturday 3rd May at the Bendigo showgrounds, had officially sold out both online and in retailers in a statement issued today.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Bendigo and the surrounding regions for welcoming the return of GTM!” enthused Cattleyard Promotions’ Stephen Halpin.

“We really appreciate the enthusiasm and support of our Bendigo moo crew. It makes for such a great feeling at the event.”

Punters have proven their enthusiasm for the Groovin The Moo’ 2014 lineup, as the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with a lineup that features a strong bill of local talent and international acts. The Aussies include Hottest 100 winner Vance Joy, electro duo The Presets, Brisbane grunge disciples Violent Soho, Sydney quratet The Jezabels, the colourful Architecture In Helsinki, prog powerhouse Karnivool, and more. “We really appreciate the enthusiasm and support of our Bendigo moo crew…”

Making the trek from oversesa is UK grime scamp Dizzee Rascal, breakout dance duo Disclosure, hip hop mixtape star Action Bronson, New York twosome Cults, one-man electro band Robert DeLong, Canadian instrumentalists Holy Fuck, and hopping the pond from New Zealand, the Naked And Famous.

Discussing Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup in a recent interview, Halpin discussed how Triple J played an important part in the booking of the festival bill. “Yeah, basically we work really closely with Triple J,” said the GTM promoter, “any band that gets Triple J play fits our bill, so we have everything.”

A number of billed artists have also announced Groovin The Moo sideshows, including Dizzee RascalVance JoyCults, and The Presets, with more expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets are still available for the remaining five legs of Groovin The Moo 2014 in Maitland, Canberra, Townsville Bunbury, and the event’s debut South Australian leg at the newly added Oakbank leg.

Along with the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup, Cattleyard Promotions are set to debut a free multimedia exhibition focussing on Groovin The Moo’s decade-long history. The GTM exhibition will feature memorabilia, video, music, and other material drawn from the festival archives across two rooms at Maitland Regional Art Gallery from 7th March to the 25th May.
