The Rolling Stones Australian Tour 2014 dates have been officially rescheduled and the full list of dates announced.

Having previously confirmed the rescheduled window for the Rolling Stones’ return Down Under, Frontier Touring have now unveiled the new dates for the ’14 On Fire Tour that was originally postponed last March following the shock sudden death of Mick Jagger’s long-term girlfriend L’Wren Scott.

Taking place between Saturday 25th October to Tuesday 18th November, the extra scheduling time has allowed the promoters to organise a few added extras for patient Rolling Stones fans. Specifically with the addition of a second extra show in Perth – who missed out on the opening date of the postponed March tour – and an added show at the Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley.

Pre-sale tickets for the new Perth and Hunter Valley shows will be available via www.frontiertouring.com/rollingstones from noon AEST Tuesday 29 April 2014 until noon AEST Wednesday 30 April (or earlier if pre-sale allocation is exhausted).  Head to the site for further details.

Frontier Touring has also confirmed a very special guests for the legendary rock quartet’s return, Aussie rock powerhouse and Cold Chisel vocalist Jimmy Barnes will join the Stones in Adelaide while other special guests will be confirmed for the remaining Australian shows, the Stones’ first since the multi-million 2006 A Bigger Bang Tour.

Ticket holders who are able to attend the rescheduled date need take no action, their existing ticket will remain valid and their location within the venue will remain unchanged, according to Frontier Touring. Fans unable to attend the new shows are asked to secure a refund from their original point of purchase (secured through the vendors listed at bottom) prior to 5pm (local time to the venue) on Monday 28 April, 2014.

Any refunded tickets will be made available to purchase from 10am (local time to the venue) on Friday 2 May, 2014 from the appropriate venues (also listed at bottom).

But as previously reported, those who splurged for scalped tickets to the Stones first Aussie shows in nearly a decade may not be so lucky, as consumer group Choice warned: “consumers must be able to show proof of purchase of tickets in order to be eligible for a refund. If you bought your tickets through a third party, such as through eBay or a ticket scalper, this may be difficult to get.”

Particularly difficult when you take into account Frontier’s negative view on re-selling and up-selling tickets. In the lead-up to Bruce Springsteen’s recent Australian Tour, Frontier and Mushroom boss Michael Gudinski damned “unscrupulous scalpers” and warned fans over being “duped” by online scammers for tickets to The Boss’ February dates, which eventually grossed $26.7 million.
