The Dizze Rascal Groovin The Moo 2014 sideshows have been cancelled.

The UK rap star was set to play three headline concerts in conjunction with his place on the lineup for the regional touring festival, but ahead of the first kicking off in Brisbane this Thursday, all three sideshows have been scrapped.

There has been no official explanation for the cancellation either from promoters Frontier Touring or Dizzee Rascal’s people, save for a short statement posted to Frontier’s website earlier today that refers ticketholders to contact vendors for refund information. Despite cancelling his sideshows at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, and Melbourne’s Palace Theatre, Dizzee Rascal will still be appearing at all scheduled dates for the Groovin The Moo 2014 festival this April and May.

The 28-year-old British rapper’s Groovin The Moo slot is his first appearance Down Under since releasing his latest album, The Fifth, released last September and preceded by lead single ‘I Don’t Need A Reason’.

Dizzee Rascal is also one of the key international artists on the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup, alongside UK’s Disclosure, NZ’s The Naked And Famous, Canadians Holy Fuck, New York’s Cults, and Robert DeLong.

They share the bill with a long list of big-name Aussie acts like Vance JoyKarnivool, Architecture In Helsinki, Kingswood, The Jezabels, Violent Soho, Thundamentals, The Kite String Tangle, and Allday (the replacement for Action Bronson).

Dizzee takes the honour of having the penultimate set on the main stage, before The Presets close the festival in each of its six legs, as the full Groovin The Moo 2014 timetable reveals.
