Sugar Mountain Announce 2012 Lineup

Written by Nicholas Jones on 26 September 2011

Sugar Mountain, Australia’s newest music and arts festival, has announced the lineup for 2012 after a stellar lineup earlier this year headlined by Melbourne locals Rat Vs Possum. Sugar Mountain will take over the Melbourne CBD in January 2012, with musical performances at The Forum Theatre on Saturday 14th January 2012.

The Festival will also utilise Federation Square, No Vacancy Gallery and ACMI to showcase an array of local and international creative talent curated by artist and festival creative director Pete Keen. The visual arts program announcement will be made in October 2011.

Curated by To and Fro Family, Two Bright Lakes and Wing & Gill, Sugar Mountain’s music and sound program also features an array  of local and international acts with Deerhoof, recently described by Pitchfork as “the best band in the world”, taking the headline spot.
