San Cisco are without a doubt Australia’s indie pop darlings, having gone from strength to strength since they burst onto the scene by climbing to a #7 debut on the triple j Hottest 100 with breakthrough single ‘Awkward’ – along with their 2012 self-titled debut album, which saw them accrue four ARIA nominations.

They only reached greater heights on their 2015 follow-up Gracetown, which went to #2 on the ARIA chart, and now they’ve returned with their anticipated follow-up, The Water.

Now, with several more years of international touring under their belts and having remained a Hottest 100 favourite, the new record is a maturation of the group’s vibrant guitar-pop, at times reminiscent of anyone from The Go-Betweens to Paul Kelly – scoring them triple j’s Feature Album nod.

With their set at triple j’s One Night Stand just gone and an enormous album tour about to start (including their appearance at the sold-out Splendour in the Grass), we’re excited to bring you part three of San Cisco’s album journey, The Water, ahead of its official release tomorrow.
