Carriageworks is a special one night only gig headlined by The Medics and celebrating contemporary music being made today by some of the country’s best young Aboriginal musicians.

‘Redfern Station’ will include performances by The Medics, and emerging young indie folk duo Microwave Jenny plus Sydney soul and funk songstress Jess Beck, as it shines the spotlight on these diverse but supremely talented young musicians, providing a cutting edge showcase of contemporary Aboriginal music in Australia today.

This special night of music also celebrates the rich history of Redfern as a meeting place of artists and musicians. The Black Capital of Australia, it has long been home to many cultural, musical and political trailblazers, both past and future.
