Bruno Mars is on the cover of the latest issue of Playboy magazine, and while he’s not exactly nude on the cover, it did inspire us to troll around and composite a list of our favourite musicians who have gotten their kit off in print. As we’ve learnt from previous slideshows, music and nudity often go hand in hand so here are out picks for out favourite nude musicians in magazines.

Avril Lavgine - The pop-punk star posed topless for Blender magazine’s June 2007 issue
Belinda Carlisle - Carlisle, most famous as lead singer of The Go-Gos and her 1987 solo hit ‘Heaven is a Place on Earth’ posed for Russian Playboy in 2001 at the age of 42.
Beth Ditto - Having absolutely zero problems with nudity, the Gossip front woman has gotten her kit off for Love magazine as well as NME.
Britney Spears - Britney got her kit off for Rolling Stone in 2003 then again for Harper’s Bazaar in 2005 while 8 months pregnant.
David Cassidy - The teen heartthrob rejected his bubblegum image in 1972 by posing naked on the cover of Rolling Stone and speaking of his drug use.
The Dixie Chicks - The trio posed nude for Entertainment Weekly in 2003 at the height of their popularity.
Geri Halliwell - Following a short stint as a ‘glamour model’ before her days as Ginger Spice, nude photos of Halliwell were published in both Playboy and Penthouse. She subsequently posed for Playboy in May 1998.
Janet Jackson - Not to be outdone by her older sister La Toya, Janet posed topless for Rolling Stone in September 1993.
Jessica Simpson - The latest pop star to bare all while pregnant, Simpson’s spread only came out earlier this month.
Katy Perry - The sexy singer posed topless for Esquire UK in August 2010. Her pastor parents greatly disapproved.
Keith Urban - A very young Keith posing naked for Playgirl in 2001.
La Toya Jackson - Ms. Jackson posed for the famous magazine in March 1989 in an effort to gain independence from her conservative family. The issue went on to sell 8 million copies making it one of the most popular issues of all time.
Madonna - Playboy got a hold of some nudes Madonna had taken early in her career for some quick cash and published them in September 1985.
Mariah Carey - The 90s starlet posed only semi-nude spread for Playboy in 2007, much to the dismay of many fans.
Nancy Sinatra - Frank Sinatra’s daughter, and musician in her own right, Nancy Sinatra posed nude for Playboy in 1995 at the age of 54. And yes, she even took her boots off.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - The boys posed nude for the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine in 1992.
Christina Aguilera - Having already appeared semi-nude in Rolling Stone and other magazines, the pop-star upped the ante in 2008 by posing naked at 8 months pregnant for the cover of Marie Claire magazine.
