Record Store Day is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and a whole heap of artists across Australia make special appearances and performances. We've put together a guide to the day across the country with some of our favourite picks.

Clarity Records

Clarity Records is excited to announce a sale that we will be having over the weekend of Saturday April 21st and Sunday April 22nd. To help celebrate International Record Store Day we will be holding a sale on Saturday April 21st, then to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and to say thank you for all your support we are extending the sale to Sunday April 22nd. The sale will be 20% off the marked price of all CDs and Vinyl. Not only this, but we will be stocking a number of releases that is featured on the Record Store Day release schedule. We are also excited to say that we will be squeezing into the store some new fixtures that will help make your “flicking” experience a bit more easier.

Some details about what you will be doing to celebrate Record Store Day: We are having a one day sale with between 10% - 20% off across the store and also hope to have a good selection of RSD releases plus some special mark-downs on the day. Due to space restrictions we don't have any live music which is a shame as i had hoped to get The Polyphonic Spree in for the day.

Some details about what you will be doing to celebrate Record Store Day: We're inviting all of our customers from over the years to come down and say hello on the day, it's going to be a party. We've got live in-store performances from Melbourne group's 'The Putbacks" and "The Psyde Projects" plus DJ sets from some of the city's best selectors and biggest recordnerds, 10% off vinyl, 20% off cds, giveaways, special world record storereleases limited to the day and there's Northside T Shirt Collaboration with Burn T Shirts which comes with a mystery 45. Phew! For those who want to go late there's also an official Northside after party at The Order Of Melbourne featuring two of our staff members: DJ Manchild and Mista Rex playing the finest platters from their collections.
