Thelma Plum has taken to Instagram to register her shock at the level of online abuse she has received since outing Sticky Fingers frontman Dylan Frost for his abusive behaviour towards her last week.

Plum initially wrote about Frost’s “violence towards women”, detailing an incident in which he allegedly violently intimidated her outside of the Lady Hampshire pub in Sydney. Sticky Fingers announced an “indefinite hiatus” shortly after Plum’s revelation, with Frost later penning a mea culpa of sorts on Facebook, in which he admitted “in recent times my behaviour for a large part has been unacceptable”, before citing alcohol addiction and mental health issues.

Despite this, Plum has found herself the target of vicious attacks online, which she admits have been much fiercer than she’d expected.

“Dylan acted like a violent prick and scared the fuck out of me”, she wrote, “even our Uber driver was terrified when he chased the car at full speed with his arm and fist as if he was going to smash the windscreen. I knew I would cop a lot of flack, abuse and also a lot of defaming when I came out with my story – never did I think to this extent.”

Plum said other victims of Frost’s behaviour have also contacted her, and admonished “the people in his life who idly stood by and watched his violent behaviour”, stating they find it easier “to blame me then to take responsibility for the part they played in enabling this behaviour.”

Feeling like a very sad girl after going online and seeing Dylan’s cousin write an absolute bullshit version of the altercation that took place between Dylan, Nick and I. Dylan acted like a violent prick and scared the fuck out of me, even our uber driver was terrified when he chased the car at full speed with his arm and fist as if he was going to smash the windscreen. I knew I would cop a lot of flack, abuse and also a lot of defaming when I came out with my story – never did I think to this extent. Though the fact that I have been contacted by so many of his past victims including friends and family of his past lovers has reassured me I did the right thing (before you ask, I would never out them, it is their decision to come forward publicly). I suppose it’s a lot easier for the people in his life who idly stood by and watched his violent behaviour to blame me then to take responsibility for the part they played in enabling this behaviour. I want to say a big fat thank you to all the people who have reached out and reminded me I am safe, supported and love. Thank you to the women who will no longer be silenced. I love u guys to the mooooooon.
