PVT (formerly Pivot) – Church With No Magic
PVT are no longer an instrumental outfit with the forced name change and the release of the new album, “Church With No Magic”, these boys are grabbing the microphone. Richard Pike delivers vocals that are more akin to the chanting of hymns than actual singing. His brother, Laurence Pike on drums, creates a dark and hollow atmosphere with a his intense drumming style. Here is the title track from their new CD, a song of intensity called “Church With No Magic”. PVT are the only aussie band signed up to legendary UK label, Warp Records, the home of Aphex Twin. In 2010, the group decided to remove the vowels from their name Pivot after a legal claim was made from an American band of the same name.
