With a successful tour under his belt, Masterton pays tribute to his touring life in the video to the brand new and infectiously beat-driven single ‘More Than Words’.
Filmed by the man himself on a hand-held toy camera in Melbourne, Sydney and various airplanes, the new track echoes signs of musical progression for the producer, while his eclectic and vibrant aesthetic remains.
Despite its jet-setting video, ‘More Than Words’ is a single that is firmly grounded in Melbourne, with Masterton having come up with the concept for the tune in typically Victorian fashion – on the 75 tram.
“I was trying to study on the tram but finding it pretty tough, that’s when I got the idea to write a track that had that 80’s movie training montage feel – starting off sounding like encouragement, and with a peak that was the top-of-the-mountain-hands-in-the-air moment.”
