The 2016 ARIA Awards are set to go down Wednesday, 23rd November and organisers have now announced a pretty spectacular lineup of local talent who are set to perform on the night.

Helping the ARIA Awards celebrate 30 years of giving pointy statues to local musicians will be former Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning and Hall of Fame inductees Crowded House.

There’ll also be appearances from Album of the Year nominee Flume, local hip-hop star Illy and his trusty collaborator Vera Blue, as well as Manfield rockers Violent Soho.

Also appearing are Jimmy Barnes, Jessica Mauboy, Missy Higgins, John Farnham, and The Veronicas. Organisers are calling it “the biggest and best performance lineup” the ARIAs have ever seen.

Collectively these performers have amassed three ARIA Hall of Fame inductions, 112 ARIA Awards, 359 nominations, more than 18 million album sales, and over 4 million single sales.

As always, there’ll be international guest stars (for some reason) with Robbie Williams and Scandinavian singer Tove Lo set to participate in some awkward banter before handing out an award, no doubt.
