From the writer/director of In Bruges comes this star-studded crime comedy that sees Marty (Colin Farrell) as a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay, ‘Seven Psychopaths’. A religious man with a violent past, Charlie (Woody Harrelson) is the psychopathic gangster whose beloved dog Marty’s mates Billy (Sam Rockwell) and Hans (Christopher Walken) have just stolen. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

Australia’s own Abbie Cornish also features as Marty’s girlfriend, and keep your eye out for cameos from Michael Pitt, Tom Waits and many more.

“What movie junkie out there wouldn’t leap at the chance to see merry pranksters such as Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson go nuts in something called Seven Psychopaths? It’s crazy-killer fun.” ROLLING STONE

“It’s a film you don’t read about; you don’t try to analyse; you don’t ask what it’s about; it’s a film you go and you surrender your cinematic ass to.” URBAN CINEFILE

Before the movie you can enjoy a musical performance from The Orbweavers have just unveiled a beautiful new single The Hook.

Marita Dyson and Stuart Flanagan formed The Orbweavers in 2006, drawing on a love of history, natural sciences, museums and archives. 2009 saw the release of their debut album Graphite & Diamonds, a dark and dulcet collection of songs from the abandoned knitting mills of Brunswick, Melbourne: chiming pins and needle guitar, haunted violin, and the Moon. Closing track Diving Bell, went on to become the basis of Faux Pasʼ single Silver Line.

After a brief tour of Japan in 2010, Marita & Stuart began work on The Orbweaversʼ second album Loom, releasing double A-side single Japanese Mountains/Spotswood, a tribute to Japanese volcanoes and the historic Spotswood Sewerage Pumping Station, which found a special place in Melbournians’ hearts thanks to the support of community radio stations Triple R and PBS. Over the winter of 2011, nine more tracks were recorded at home, to complete Loom.

Following sold-out launches, Triple R Album of the Week, recent Melbourne Music Week and National Gallery of Victoria shows, The Orbweavers continue to warm hearts with Loom’s evocative songs of local creeks & quarries (Merri), the yearnings of a bridled greyhound (You Can Run – Fern’s Theme), volcanoes (Japanese Mountains), textile mills, historic sewerage pumping stations (Spotswood) and the passing of time (The Hook).
