Housed in the secluded picturesque valley of northeast Tasmania, A Festival Called Panama, commonly known as Panama, is gearing up for it’s second event at the beginning of next year, and they’ve just added a healthy list of Aussie artists to it’s stellar lineup.

The fresh batch of entertainers to take the gorgeous woodlands by storm is lead by slack-rock legend Courtney Barnett, who has spent the majority of 2014 on an insane tour schedule around the globe. Following this, Panama punters will also be charmed by the breathtakingly talented Tom Iansek, who will be performing under his solo project moniker #1 Dads, as well as Brisbane outfit The John Steel Singers who will set the party alight with their raucous rockin’ tunes.

If that’s not enough, Darren Hanlon, The Furrs, Grand Salvo, Oscar Lush, Jed Appleton, Panama Jazz Band – The Melatonins and Tiger Lil’s Sideshow Cabaret will also perform to the quaint audience of Tasmania.

These Aussie artists join the already announced Bombino, Sharon Van Etton, Harmony, Scotdrakula, Cactus Channel, Violet Swells and Ben Salter.

Panama understands the importance of intimacy at a music festival and will only sell 1000 tickets to next year’s event. Outside of the serene surroundings and very carefully curated lineup, punters are treated to wood-fired hot showers, cider brewed on site, delicious local foods stalls, and fun-filled cabaret.

Tickets are on sale as of December 1st, with this year’s organisers also offering an optional early arrival ticket for Friday March 6. This will give punters the chance to set up camp and be ready for the festival on Saturday. There won’t be programming on the the main stage but expect a rock’n pre-party at the Bedouin Club with some special guest mystery bands and DJs. Jump over to Panama’s website for full details.
