Sydney “Hillbilly/Folk/Psychedelic/Garage/Yiddish/Rock” outfit The Ruminaters are gearing up to release their eagerly anticipated sophomore album and they’ve just dropped a new single to celebrate, ‘Ghost Porn’, as well as a hilarious new mockumentary.

The doco (or mocko, for all intents and purposes) is titled I Hate The Ruminaters and presents a day in the life of The Ruminaters as they go through the motions of being a hard-working Aussie band – touring, rehearsing, and getting arrested.

The band, made up of four best friends — Pencil, Jake, Teddy and Jarleth — have had their sound compared to “London Calling-era Clash fused with The Strokes” and have received love from Triple J, Fbi Radio, NME Magazine, Monster Children, and more.

‘Ghost Porn’, the second single to be taken from their yet to be released sophomore album, slated to drop 24th July, was produced by Rohin Brown (The Walking Who, Angus Stone) and shows a continued change in the development of the band’s irreverent and increasingly psychedelic sound.
